Next Volunteer Day - 02/21/26

Welcome to the future of food, health and wellbeing - the sustainable way.

Can Ireland really sustain itself? - YES!

Ireland was once a lush and temperate rainforest. This unique micro-climate gives Ireland a food growing advantage against other parts of the EU - but we’ve lost the plot. Shipping in carrots, leeks, onions, apples and SO much more, when we can EASILY grow it all here is not only economically insane, it’s also irresponsible. It’s all about to change for the people of SK and beyond.

THE LYRE GLASSHOUSE STORY

My name is Hayley, a blow-in from Canada, who's inherited the 2-acre glasshouse site. I’m still putting the story together, but this is what I have so far.

The glasshouse was originally built in 1976 on land once owned by my father-in-law’s family, before it was sold to Uderás for the project. The first acre of glass produced shamrocks that traveled from Ireland all the way to the White House.

Then, in 1982, a second glasshouse was added, but after years of mismanagement, the business went into receivership in 2015.

Seeing an opportunity, my in-laws bought the land back, reclaiming their family legacy. Since then, the site has sat neglected—until now. With new hope, we’re ready to breathe life into the glasshouse once more.
